Dream a Dream again
60
I dreamt that, I dreamt about you,
...just the other night
I trembled then I fell in it
and began to fight.
When you came so close to me,
my knees were giving way,
I knew what was about to happen
and everything you'd say
I am not going to hide it
I have to tell you this,
everything you have to say
I felt it in your kiss.
You then did what you do best
and started to undress,
I felt your loving touch again
Well, you know the rest.
you smiled like you used to do
my lips began to pout
your pull was harsh as you twined with me
and turned me inside out
My mind flipped and turned its pages
you stood there dark and tall
i felt your hotness beneath my skin
then my eyes began to roll
my heart was full of love again
you whispered as i spoke
but when 3 words escaped your lips
I shuddered and I woke

Great poem Leptirela. Really like it. Michael.
Funny how what we want to hear the most is the one thing that scares us. Lovely the way you almost fell into the dream from a waking nightmare.
This was great. i loved it. I felt it, very well written.
nice. a dream, maybe a nightmare...? "I shuddered and I woke" and you fought the dream. as though you did not want to have it. but you fell into it, and almost fell for it. for him. maybe you should let yourself fall. once you get past what you are scared of, you realize it wasnt really that scary at all.
..well your writing is like a dream - please don't wake me up though because I need some more R.E.M. with LEPTIRELA !!!!!
You offer sharp and original imagery -- hard to do with a rhyme poem like this.
Thanks for stopping by my hubs and commenting. You mentioned that your work is very dark. I'm not yet convinced that it is. Mature, yes, and inspired. But I'll have to scratch around to see if it as dark as you claim.
Pleased to meet ya'. Doug.
Oh my goodness, this took my breath away! Especially the last lines and the three words that you heard. I know a certain poet who will love your poetry. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful poem.
Great poem! and thanks for the comments!
I loved this poem. You are a great writer. It is great to read you finally. ^_^
This is beautiful and you suddenly come to at the end, when the magical three words sound. How often do we find ourselves in what seems like a blissful state when something jarring happens and jolts us back to reality. Reality can be so cruel...
Love it! A great piece of writing, and very moving too :)
I like to dream and I would say that I often dream. So, as far as I noticed all my amazing dreams usually come true in the end. So, just dream and be happy!
This sounds like a great dream to me, yes keep dreaming and writing.
I am so proud of you :))
Great imagery here, I so enjoyed this. We often spend much of our lives dreaming and then reality rears its head again! Voting up and pressing those buttons too!
I enjoy your work. It stirs a sense of familiarity.
I am going to post some poetry, after I finish posting my book; something like 20 chapters left. Input from someone of your talent is always welcome.
Very well written, you are showing your talent here for sure. Loved it! I have some new hubs on dreams too, come visit some time. Voted up and awesome.
..and of course the four words which came from my lips - I love your writing, signed Mars - lol lol - well actually that's 6 - but then again - Martians can't count too well ....
....must return and revisit a classic like a good Martian should - and believe me - you are classic just like your writing .....
